Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 5, 2026
ONE SL ("we", "us", "our") is the company behind ONEPHONE and ONE Telecom. ONEPHONE 1 ULTRA is a fully featured smartphone HUD product for the Second Life virtual world. ONE Telecom is the subscription service that powers web access and premium features. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and what we do not do with it.
1. Data We Collect
1.1 Account Information
- SecondLife UUID — Your avatar's unique identifier, provided automatically by the SecondLife browser. This is your primary account identifier.
- Display Name — A name you choose within the app. This is filtered for inappropriate content.
- Phone Number — An automatically generated 8-digit number used for in-app contact connections. This is not a real-world phone number.
- Email Address — An in-app address (e.g. yourname@ONESL.inworld) used only for the internal messaging system. This is not a real-world email address.
- Profile Image — An optional profile picture you upload, stored as image data on our server.
- PIN — An optional security PIN you may set for device access.
1.2 User-Created Content
- Messages — Text messages sent between you and your connected contacts.
- Internal Emails — Messages sent via the in-app email system. These never leave our platform and are not transmitted via SMTP or any external email service.
- Gallery Images — Photos you upload to your gallery (up to 100 images, based on your phone model).
- Notes — Text notes you create within the Notes app.
- Calendar Events — Events you create, including titles, descriptions, dates, times, and alarm preferences.
- Saved Landmarks — Second Life region names and coordinates you save in the Maps app.
- Calculator History — Your last 5 calculator expressions and results.
- Game Scores — High scores for built-in games (Snake, 2048), stored on the leaderboard.
1.3 Settings & Preferences
- Theme, wallpaper, ringtone, and notification sound choices.
- Clock widget preferences (format, timezone, colors).
- HUD size and frame color selections.
- Installed app selections.
- Weather location (city name and coordinates) for the Weather app.
1.4 Connection & Communication Data
- Contact Requests — Records of connection requests sent and received.
- Block List — A list of users you have blocked.
- Call Logs — Records of in-app calls (caller, receiver, status, duration).
- Photo Shares — Records of photos shared between contacts, including acceptance status.
1.5 Technical & Session Data
- Wearable URL — A temporary HTTP-In URL generated by your SecondLife HUD, used to send commands (such as opening URLs, playing sounds, or triggering animations) to your in-world object. This URL changes each time you attach the HUD.
- Session Cookies — We set the following cookies on your device:
- onephone_uid — Stores your session identifier. HttpOnly. Expires after 1 year.
- onephone_web — For web subscribers only. Stores a session token. HttpOnly. Expires after 30 days.
1.6 Subscription Data
- ONE Telecom subscription status, expiration date, and web login codes are stored to manage your subscription. Payment is processed entirely within Second Life via Linden Dollar (L$) transactions — we never collect real-world payment information.
2. How We Use Your Data
- To operate the app — All data listed above is collected solely to provide the ONEPHONE features you use (messaging, email, gallery, calendar, etc.).
- To authenticate you — Your SL UUID and session cookies are used to identify your account and maintain your login session.
- To connect you with others — Your phone number and display name are visible to other users who search for you or connect with you.
- To deliver notifications — Calendar alarms and call notifications are sent to your HUD via the wearable URL.
- To enforce usage limits — We track message and email usage counts to enforce ONE Telecom plan limits, and gallery usage to enforce phone storage capacity.
3. What We Do NOT Do
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party.
We do not serve targeted advertising based on your data.
We do not collect real-world personal information (real name, real email, real phone number, physical address, or payment card details).
We do not use analytics or tracking services (no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no tracking cookies).
We do not read or monitor your private messages, emails, or notes. These are stored to provide the service and are not reviewed by us.
4. Third-Party Services
ONEPHONE communicates with the following external services to provide specific features. We send only the minimum data required for each service to function:
4.1 Open-Meteo (Weather)
The Weather app sends geographic coordinates (latitude/longitude) or city search queries to Open-Meteo, a free and open-source weather API. No personal information or account data is sent. Open-Meteo's privacy policy applies to their processing of these requests.
4.2 Second Life Grid Services
The Maps app communicates with Linden Lab's public grid coordinate APIs to resolve region names and grid positions. Only region names or grid coordinates are sent — no personal data.
4.3 PrimFeed Integration
ONEPHONE includes an optional PrimFeed app that allows you to browse, interact with, and post on PrimFeed directly from your phone. If you choose to log in to PrimFeed through this app:
- Your PrimFeed credentials (username and password) are relayed directly to PrimFeed's authentication API. We do not store your PrimFeed password.
- Upon successful login, PrimFeed returns a session token. This token is stored in your phone's settings to keep you logged in.
- Subsequent PrimFeed actions (browsing feeds, viewing profiles, searching) are proxied through our server using your stored session token.
- You can log out of PrimFeed at any time within the app, which removes the stored token.
- PrimFeed's own privacy policy governs how PrimFeed processes your data: PrimFeed Privacy Policy.
4.4 SMTP (Admin Only)
We use an SMTP email service exclusively for sending two-factor authentication codes to the administrator account. No user data is ever sent via SMTP. The in-app "Email" feature is entirely internal and does not use external email services.
5. Third-Party Websites Accessible via ONEPHONE
ONEPHONE includes launcher shortcuts to third-party websites. When you open any of these, your HUD's screen navigates to that website directly. We do not monitor your activity on these external websites. Each service has its own privacy policy that governs your use:
We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party service you access through ONEPHONE.
6. Data Storage & Security
- All data is stored on our servers in a PostgreSQL database.
- Session cookies are set with the HttpOnly flag to prevent client-side script access.
- The admin portal uses two-factor authentication (password + email verification code).
- ONE SL does not require or store real-world passwords. Web subscriber login uses single-use codes tied to active ONE Telecom subscriptions. The only exception is the optional PrimFeed integration, where your PrimFeed session token (not password) is stored if you choose to log in.
- Image data (profile pictures, gallery photos) is stored as encoded data directly in the database, not on third-party cloud storage.
7. Data Retention & Deletion
- Your data is retained for as long as your ONEPHONE account exists.
- You can delete individual content at any time (messages, emails, notes, gallery images, calendar events, landmarks, contacts).
- Trashed emails are retained until you permanently delete them.
- If you wish to have your entire account and all associated data permanently deleted, please contact us in-world.
8. Children's Privacy
ONEPHONE operates within Second Life, which requires users to be at least 16 years old (or 18 for certain content). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the age of 16.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of ONEPHONE or ONE Telecom services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
10. Contact
If you have questions about this privacy policy or your data, please contact us in-world via Second Life.
