Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of ONEPHONE, ONE Telecom, and all related services provided by ONE SL ("we", "us", "our"). By using any of our products or services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using our services immediately.
1. Definitions
- "ONE SL" — The company and brand umbrella behind ONEPHONE and ONE Telecom.
- "ONEPHONE" — The smartphone HUD product for the Second Life virtual world, including the in-world HUD object and the web-based interface.
- "ONEPHONE 1 ULTRA" — The current phone model offered by ONE SL.
- "ONE Telecom" — The subscription service that provides web access and premium features for ONEPHONE.
- "Service" — Collectively, ONEPHONE, ONE Telecom, the web interface at ONESL.world, the in-world HUD, and all related features and functionality.
- "User" or "you" — Any individual who accesses or uses the Service through Second Life or the web interface.
- "Content" — Any text, images, messages, emails, notes, profile information, or other materials you create, upload, or transmit through the Service.
2. Eligibility
- You must have an active Second Life account in good standing to use ONEPHONE.
- You must meet Second Life's minimum age requirement (16 years or older, or 18 for certain content regions).
- By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.
- We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone, at any time, for any reason.
3. Account & Access
- Your ONEPHONE account is identified by your Second Life UUID. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must not share your account credentials, web login codes, or security PIN with others.
- You must not attempt to access another user's account, data, or private content without their explicit consent.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion, with or without notice, for any violation of these Terms or for any other reason.
4. ONE Telecom Subscriptions
4.1 Plans & Pricing
- ONE Telecom offers subscription plans (Lite Plan and Pro Plan) that grant access to different tiers of features.
- Subscription payments are made using Linden Dollars (L$) within Second Life via the ONE Telecom Terminal.
- Prices are subject to change at any time. Any price changes will apply to new subscriptions or renewals only — active subscriptions will honor their existing pricing until expiration.
4.2 Refunds
All subscription payments are final and non-refundable.
Because payments are processed through Second Life's Linden Dollar system, we cannot issue refunds once a payment has been made. By purchasing a subscription, you acknowledge and accept this policy.
4.3 Subscription Duration & Expiration
- Subscriptions are valid for the purchased duration (1, 3, 6, or 12 months) and do not auto-renew.
- Upon expiration, your account will revert to the Lite Plan. You will not lose your data, but access to Pro features and web access will be suspended until you renew.
- We are not responsible for any loss of access due to an expired subscription.
5. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree to use the Service responsibly and lawfully. The following activities are strictly prohibited:
5.1 Prohibited Conduct
- Harassment & Abuse — Using the messaging, email, calling, or any other feature to harass, threaten, intimidate, stalk, or bully other users.
- Hate Speech — Transmitting content that promotes hatred, discrimination, or violence against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or any other characteristic.
- Sexual Content Involving Minors — Creating, distributing, or storing any content that depicts or suggests sexual activity involving minors, whether real or fictional. This results in immediate and permanent account termination.
- Spam & Unsolicited Messages — Sending bulk, repetitive, or unsolicited messages to users, or using the platform for advertising or solicitation without consent.
- Impersonation — Pretending to be another user, an ONE SL team member, a Linden Lab employee, or any other person or entity.
- Fraud & Scams — Using the Service to deceive, defraud, or scam other users, including but not limited to phishing, fake giveaways, or social engineering attacks.
- Illegal Activity — Using the Service for any activity that violates applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations.
- Malicious Content — Uploading or transmitting content containing malware, viruses, scripts, or any other harmful code or material.
- Defamation — Publishing false statements about other users, companies, or individuals that damage their reputation.
5.2 Platform Integrity
- No Hacking or Exploiting — You must not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other users' accounts, our servers, databases, or any systems connected to the Service.
- No Reverse Engineering — You must not decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the Service, the HUD scripts, or any related technology.
- No Automation or Bots — You must not use automated scripts, bots, scrapers, or similar tools to interact with the Service without our prior written consent.
- No Circumvention — You must not bypass, disable, or circumvent any security features, access controls, usage limits, or subscription restrictions.
- No Data Mining — You must not systematically collect, harvest, or scrape user data, phone numbers, display names, or any other information from the Service.
- No Interference — You must not take any action that disrupts, damages, or impairs the functioning of the Service or interferes with any other user's ability to use the Service.
- No Unauthorized Resale — You must not resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service, subscriptions, or any content obtained through the Service without our written permission.
6. User Content
6.1 Ownership
- You retain ownership of the Content you create and upload to the Service (messages, emails, photos, notes, etc.).
- By uploading Content, you grant ONE SL a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display that Content solely for the purpose of operating the Service.
- We do not claim ownership of your Content and will not use it for marketing, training, or any purpose other than providing the Service to you.
6.2 Content Standards
- You are solely responsible for all Content you create, upload, or transmit through the Service.
- Content must not violate the Acceptable Use Policy (Section 5) or any applicable laws.
- We reserve the right to remove any Content that violates these Terms without prior notice.
- Display names are filtered for inappropriate content. Attempting to bypass content filters may result in account suspension.
6.3 Content Removal
- You can delete your own Content at any time through the Service's built-in features (delete messages, emails, photos, notes, etc.).
- We may remove Content or disable access to Content at any time if we believe it violates these Terms or poses a risk to the Service or other users.
- Deleted Content may persist in backups for a limited period but will not be actively served or accessible.
7. Intellectual Property
- The Service, including the ONEPHONE HUD, web interface, branding, design, code, and all related materials, is the intellectual property of ONE SL and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
- The names "ONE SL", "ONEPHONE", "ONEPHONE 1 ULTRA", and "ONE Telecom" are trademarks of ONE SL. You may not use these names or marks without our written permission.
- You must not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service, nor may you create derivative works based on the Service.
- All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved by ONE SL.
8. Third-Party Services & Content
- ONEPHONE provides access to third-party services (YouTube, Spotify, Discord, PrimFeed, etc.) through built-in launcher shortcuts and integrations.
- We are not responsible for the content, functionality, availability, or practices of any third-party service.
- Your use of third-party services is governed by their respective terms of service and privacy policies.
- We do not endorse, guarantee, or assume liability for any third-party service accessible through ONEPHONE.
- If a third-party service becomes unavailable or changes its terms, we are not obligated to provide an alternative or compensation.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory.
ONE SL expressly disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to:
- Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
- Any warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from viruses or other harmful components.
- Any warranty regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any content or information provided through the Service.
- Any warranty regarding the compatibility of the Service with any particular hardware, software, or Second Life viewer.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ONE SL, its owners, operators, developers, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
- We are not liable for any loss of data, loss of Linden Dollars, loss of virtual items, or any other loss resulting from your use of the Service.
- We are not liable for any damages resulting from unauthorized access to your account.
- We are not liable for any downtime, service interruptions, server failures, or data loss.
- We are not liable for any actions taken by other users of the Service.
- Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in Linden Dollars in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ONE SL, its owners, operators, developers, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:
- Your use of the Service.
- Your violation of these Terms.
- Your Content or any activity conducted through your account.
- Your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.
12. Account Termination & Suspension
- We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice.
- Grounds for termination include, but are not limited to: violation of these Terms, abuse of the platform, fraudulent activity, or any behavior we deem harmful to the Service or its users.
- Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may, at our discretion, delete your account and all associated data.
- If your account is terminated for a violation of these Terms, you are not entitled to any refund of subscription fees.
- You may request account deletion at any time by contacting us in-world via Second Life.
13. Service Availability & Modifications
- We do not guarantee that the Service will be available at all times. The Service may be subject to scheduled or unscheduled downtime for maintenance, updates, or other reasons.
- We reserve the right to modify, update, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time without prior notice.
- We reserve the right to add or remove features, change pricing, alter plan structures, or update the HUD at our discretion.
- We are not liable for any modifications to the Service or for any resulting loss of access or functionality.
14. Virtual Currency & In-World Transactions
- All payments for ONE Telecom subscriptions are made using Linden Dollars (L$) within the Second Life platform.
- We do not process real-world currency, credit card payments, or any other form of real-money transactions.
- ONE SL is not responsible for Linden Dollar exchange rates, Linden Lab's terms regarding virtual currency, or any disputes related to Linden Dollar transactions outside our platform.
- Virtual phone numbers, email addresses (@ONESL.inworld), and other in-app identifiers are fictional and have no real-world value or function outside the Service.
15. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data. By using the Service, you agree to the terms of our Privacy Policy.
16. Dispute Resolution
- Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through informal negotiation by contacting us in-world via Second Life.
- If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, both parties agree to attempt mediation before pursuing any other form of dispute resolution.
- These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
17. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
18. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and ONE SL regarding your use of the Service and supersede all prior or contemporaneous agreements, communications, or understandings, whether written or oral.
19. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically.
